The year is 2011. As a child, I didn’t really think I would make it this far. When I was growing up there was such a fear of a war with Russia and a nuclear holocaust. People were building bomb shelters and there were books on surviving a nuclear explosion. You could practically smell fear in the atmosphere.
Well, here we are, and we made it! God has been training me not to listen to fear and worry my whole life. Most everything I ever worried about never happened. I have been in a long process of replacing fears with faith. When I was younger I was so very full of fear and dread. Now I’m excited about what God is going to do this year. When I sought the Lord about 2011, I kept hearing “realms of heaven”.
I feel we are going to be drawn this year, in deep contemplative prayer, seeing greater glimpses of heavenly activity than ever before. I have already experienced a deep awaking in my spirit drawing me to God. Things don’t matter as much and I am learning I can trust God. Even the bad things are only tests to prepare me for the greater things in Christ. The same is true for you. Will there be tests and trials? Yes, there will be, but I know we can trust God through it all. We have learned to trust in Him and His word. Habakkuk 3 : 17 says, though the fig tree does not blossom, and there is no fruit on the vine, though the produce and the olive fail and the fields yield no food; though the flocks be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stall; yet will I rejoice in the Lord, I’ll joy in the God of my salvation.
Troubles may come but they can’t stay for the child of God. Habakkuk 3 :19 says, The Lord God is my strength. He makes my feet like those of a deer and enables me to walk in high places.
Draw into God this year. Drink deeply of His great love for you. Relish the adventure of 2011. Allow the Holy Spirit to take you to the very depths of heaven. If trials come, let your trust in Christ, deepen you. God always has a solution for every problem. He is preparing you to walk in high places. He is going to increase your ability to carry weight and overcome every obstacle in your path. You are going to shine brighter this year. There will be a heavenly atmosphere around you, and you will smell like faith.
This is a year for idols of our lives to drop off. Whatever is in between you and God will begin to separate from you. Misplaced affection on things rather than Jesus will fall away. There is a cry of the Spirit this year to come out to the deep places of God, the heavenly places.
Will you come? He’s waiting for all of us to come.
