Dear one reading this, I would like to speak to you about your future.
God holds you in the palm of His hand and even though He watches over the entire universe, you are His delight. “How can I be?”, you say, you don’t know me. I haven’t read my bible enough, or prayed enough. I’m constantly warring against what I should do or not do. You are forgetting one thing…it is not your righteousness He looks at. You are covered in the robes of Jesus' righteousness, the garments of His salvation.
This concept of your own righteousness, making you worthy, blocks your faith in God, for your own future. A hireling works for wages and a son works with his father and freely receives an inheritance. You are a son or daughter of God the moment you accepted what Jesus did on the cross for you. You no longer serve God for wages or reward. You serve the Lord out of love and not duty as a son or daughter. Can you add to what Jesus did on the cross? Absolutely not! His righteousness makes a way for you. If you constantly think you have to earn God’s favor, you can never receive what He has for you.
I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace, and not for evil, to give you hope for your final outcome.(Jer.29:11) God has a plan for each one of us. It is your destiny, your future. We need to cooperate with God in this plan. Looking at all our failures and our weaknesses disqualify us from believing God, with faith. We cannot fix our eyes on us, rather on Jesus. Where we are weak, He is strong. We can do all things, through Christ, which strengthens us.
None of us deserves to be used by Him, but we are chosen. You have been chosen, not because of your great abilities, but because of His, flowing out of you, like a river of life. Look up and keep your eyes fixed on your everlasting hope. Hope in God and not yourself.
I declare a new wind of the Holy Spirit blowing upon you. Blowing away all doubt and fear. Blowing away self-confidence and self-effort; giving you a fresh reliance on God as never before. He is not like your earthly father. God will never let you down. He cheers you on from heaven. God the father is proud of you. He has a plan for you that only Jesus can fulfill in you. I declare TRUST, trust in God like never before to rise up in you. Trust Him for what only He can do in you. Trust that He can take you as that piece of clay and mold you into what He has for you. Do not give up. Do not despair. Wait for your Father’s perfect timing. What He has spoken, He will do.
Thoughts come to our minds that say it will never happen. God will never use me. I’m not worthwhile. We fight thoughts with words. Declare that you are so very valuable that Jesus died for you. Declare it out loud. If no one else existed He still would have died for you….just you. You are precious and valuable. You are worth His life. Now take His life and let Him live through you establishing His plan for you. I know it will be good.
